Edgar Elizalde is reportedly a target for Serie A duo Juventus and Inter Milan, not to mention Premier League outfit Everton.

Everton Director of Football Marcel Brands speaks to the media during a press conference at USM Finch Farm on June 4, 2018 in Halewood, England.

Marcel Brands is one of the best talent-spotters anywhere in European football – and this is why Everton fought tooth and nail to bring the Dutchman to Goodison Park after a trophy-laden spell behind the scenes at PSV Eindhoven.

A number of Brands’ signings, such as Bernard, Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne, have already made a massive impact at Goodison Park.

So while Edgar Elizalde is far from a household name, Everton fans should feel confident that the 18-year-old defender is a name to get excited by if Brands is a fan.

According to FC Inter News, The Toffees are interested in signing the young Pescara centre-back, who has also caught the eye of Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan despite being yet to make his senior league debut.

Elizalde, who is expected to represent Uruguay in the South American U20 Championships in early 2019, is expected to talk with his representatives to discuss his future in the coming months.

And the teenager is far from the first highly-rated young talent who has emerged out of Pescara in recent seasons, given that Marco Verratti, Ciro Immobile, Bryan Cristante, Lorenzo Insigne and Lucas Torreira have made their name with the Serie B club.
