Turkish Super Lig champions Besiktas could finally let Cenk Tosun leave for Premier League giants Everton, which could have ramifications at Liverpool, too.

If, or indeed when, Cenk Tosun finally completes his move from Besiktas to Everton,, it could have quite a few ramifications on Merseyside.
Not only could Tosun fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku in Everton’s toothless attack, his reported £27 million deal (BBC) could also pave the way for one player to depart the Toffees’ Merseyside rivals.
Because Turkish publication Fanatik state that reigning Super Lig champions Besiktas have identified a shock target to replace their talismanic centre-forward at the Vodafone Arena – none other than Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge has been linked with a move away from Anfield for some time, having fallen down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp. Ironically, the 28-year-old appears to be in peak physical condition these days, yet Klopp has preferred Roberto Firmino or Dominic Solanke in attack, restricting the England international to just five Premier League starts so far in 2017/18.
And with Besiktas joining Newcastle United, Southampton and West Ham United in trying to lure Sturridge away this month, it remains to be seen whether he will add to that tally.

Fanatik adds that Besiktas hope to sign the former Chelsea and Manchester City player on a six-month loan deal with an option to sign him at the end of this season for around £13 million.
And if he can rediscover the outstanding goal-scoring form that made him one of Europe’s hottest strikers a few years ago, he would be a fine replacement for Tosun with the Turkey striker’s move to Goodison Park seemingly edging closer.
