Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town are both reportedly interested in signing Everton striker Cenk Tosun.
Everton have rejected Crystal Palace’s bid to sign Cenk Tosun on loan while Huddersfield Town are also interested in the Turkey international, according to the Liverpool Echo.
12 months after his £27 million move from Besiktas (Goal), Tosun is facing an uncertain future at Goodison Park after failing to convince coach Marco Silva that he can solve The Toffees’ striker problems.
As a result, Everton have made it clear that they are willing to sell the former Eintracht Frankfurt forward if a club meets their £20 million asking price.
Crystal Palace, however, have only indicated that they want to sign Tosun on loan until the end of the season. Everton have rejected their offer and, with funds tight at Selhurst Park, it seems unlikely that Roy Hodgson’s side could afford a permanent deal.
The Liverpool Echo adds that Huddersfield Town, who have scored just 13 goals in 23 top flight games and are well adrift at the bottom of the Premier League table, are also interested.
A £20 million move for Tosun would make the 27-year-old their record signing.
It is understood that Everton have no interest in loaning out another striker to a Premier League rival, having send Oumar Niasse to Cardiff City earlier in the transfer window.
