Everton are trying to bring Marcelo Brozovic to the Premier League from Serie A giants Inter Milan and will let Davy Klaassen leave Goodison Park.

It appears that Everton are trying to kill two birds with one stone before the month is out.

As reported by Corriere Dello Sport (28 January, page 14), the Toffees are trying to tempt Inter Milan to let Marcelo Brozovic move to Goodison Park by allowing the out-of-favour Davy Klaassen to go the other way.

Everton have been heavily linked with the Croatian international midfielder for some time and Gazzetta dello Sport claimed in July that they had made a £15.7 million to sign Brozovic over the summer.

And it appears that the Merseysiders have not given up just yet. FC Inter News claimed on Saturday that Everton had made a bid of around £15 million for the former Dinamo Zagreb starlet, who has fallen out of favour since Luciano Spalletti took over at the San Siro during the summer.

And Corriere Dello Sport claimed that Everton will happily include Klaassen as a makeweight in the deal, although it is understood that Inter are less than convinced about the prospect of bringing in the Dutch international.

Former Ajax captain Klaassen arrived at Goodison Park amid high expectations in the summer but has struggled badly to justify his £25 million price-tag, as reported by the Mirror.

The 24-year-old has made just four Premier League appearances, the last coming in September when he was subbed off before the hour in a 2-1 win against Bournemouth.

So you could understand why Inter would rather just take the money.
