Thomas Meunier hinted that he would join Premier League outfit Everton in 2018, but could the Ligue 1 winner arrive at Goodison Park 12 months later?

Everton have stepped up their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier and have now made an official proposal ahead of a potential summer move to Goodison Park, according to Le10 Sport.
Meunier has been one of Europe’s most impressive attacking full-backs since making his name in Belgian colours at Euro 2016, sealing a move to the Parc des Princes from Club Brugge after the tournament.
He has since won seven trophies at PSG, including two Ligue 1 titles, though his future has come under question after slipping behind Dani Alves and Thilo Kehrer in the pecking order. Meunier has made only 18 starts in the French top flight this season.
And, according to Le10 Sport, Everton are offering him a fresh start with his contract set to expire in 2020. PSG would demand around £25 million.

Interestingly, Meunier name-dropped Everton in an interview with RTBF in April 2018, after being asked about the sort of team he would look to join if he decided to walk away from PSG.
“I could aim for a club like Everton,” he said.
If the move does come to fruition however, Meunier will have to force club captain Seamus Coleman out of the starting XI.
