Jean-Kevin Augustin has made just three Bundesliga starts for RB Leipzig this season but is still allegedly wanted by Premier League Everton.

Jean-Kevin Augustin has been linked with a move to Goodison Park for some time. But Calciomercato is now reporting that the RB Leipzig striker has become Everton’s number one summer transfer target despite his ongoing struggles in Germany.
The former PSG youngster enjoyed a superb debut season for Leipzig in 2017/18, scoring 12 goals in all competitions while impressing with his combination of power and finesse.
But Augustin has struggled to make an impression this time around, starting just three Bundesliga games with Timo Werner and Youssouf Poulsen in top form.
Despite this, the Mail believes that Everton are interested in offering the 21-year-old a fresh start in the summer with Leipzig demanding £35 million. It is claimed that former Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is also keen to reunite with the versatile forward at Southampton.

Calciomercato, however, believes that Augustin is not merely an option for Everton – he is their top target. And you can see why, even if the cynics may express concern about his lack of game time in Germany.
Augustin is a striker with real potential and, in director of football Marcel Brands, the Toffees have a man with a track record of uncovering rough diamonds.
