James Rodriguez’s future at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich is uncertain and a move to the Premier League with Everton is reportedly on the cards.

Everton have emerged as a surprise destination for James Rodriguez, with the play-maker’s future up in the air heading into the summer according to Don Balon.
The Colombian number ten was one of the most coveted players on the planet a few years ago, joining Real Madrid in a £71 million deal in 2014 after winning the World Cup Golden Boot, as reported by the BBC.
But he fell out of favour once Zinedine Zidane replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the Bernabau dugout and has been on loan at Bayern Munich since the summer of 2017.
The Bundesliga champions have the option to sign Rodriguez permanently but the deal is in doubt, with the 27-year-old finding himself in and out of Niko Kovac’s starting XI.

According to Don Balon, Everton could look to take advantage with a staggering move that would raise eyebrows all across the continent. It is claimed they will face competition from Merseyside rivals Liverpool, as well as Arsenal.
The report adds that Rodriguez would love to return to Madrid and president Florentino Perez would welcome him back with open arms. But the final decision will be made by Los Blancos’ next coach, with Goal stating that Jose Mourinho is set to replace Santiago Solari on an initial interim contract.
