Could Badou Ndiaye return to the Premier League with Everton after spending last season on loan at Galatasaray from Championship outfit Stoke City?
Everton are interested in offering Stoke City flop Badou Ndiaye a second chance in the Premier League, according to Fanatik.
Almost every transfer The Toffees have touched has turned to gold since Marcel Brands was appointed as sporting director in 2018, the likes of Lucas Digne, Richarlison and Andre Gomes proving to be inspired additions to Marco Silva’s squad.
Ndiaye, however, would represent a sizeable, and probably expensive risk, albeit one that Brands appears happy to take.
The dynamic midfielder joined Stoke for £15 million in January 2018 but he failed to make any sort of an impression as The Potters were relegated four months later.
Ndiaye found his form again after returning to Galatasaray on loan 12 months ago, however, making 23 Super Lig appearances as the Istanbul-based giants won the title for the second year in a row despite being in the second place for much of the season.
A return to England now looms large. But with Fanatik claiming that Ndiaye has no interest in playing Championship football for Stoke, a move to Everton, or Champions League-bound Lille, could be too good to turn down.
Interestingly, this could see Ndiaye form a midfield partnership with his Senegal team-mate Idrissa Gana Gueye. If they play together for their clubs like they do at international level, Ndiaye could be yet another inspired decision for the Brands collection.
But he would arrive with a lot to prove and a big price-tag to justify.
