Barcelona and Real Madrid reportedly want Porto’s Eder Militao but so do Everton.

Eder Militao of FC Porto looks on during the UEFA Champions League Group D match between FC Schalke 04 and FC Porto at Veltins-Arena on September 18, 2018 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

So many great players have made their name at Porto, from James Rodriguez to Radamel Falcao, Ricardo Carvalho to Hulk. And the early signs suggest that Eder Militao could also be on his way to the very top.

The versatile defender only signed a five-year contract with Porto in August, moving to the Primeira Liga champions from Sao Paulo in his homeland. But he is already starting to turn heads after just three appearances in Porto colours.

Brazilian publication UOL claimed this week that Everton sent scouts to watch Eder in Porto’s 1-1 Champions League draw with Schalke.

According to A Bola, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also interested, and the chance to join one of Europe’s biggest and most historic clubs could leave the Toffees fighting a losing battle for Eder, who is understood to be valued by Porto at around £18 million.

But it seems the Merseysiders might have a slight advantage over the La Liga giants. It is claimed in Record that Eder’s agents have a good relationship with Everton and the Toffees’ hopes have also been boosted by the fact that they added two Brazilians to their squad in the summer – Richarlison and Bernard.

The presence of two other Samba stars in the Goodison Park dressing room would certainly help Eder adapt to life in England after all.
