Premier League outfit Everton appeared to have beaten Wolverhampton Wanderers to Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo – but PSG are now linked too.

There is good news and bad news for Everton as they attempt to lure Marcos Rojo to Goodison Park.
The Mail (live blog, 11.53am) is reporting that Manchester United are looking to offload the Argentina defender to fund moves for new signings. The bad news is that Everton are facing competition from one of the richest and most successful clubs in European football right now – Paris Saint-Germain.
The door appeared to be open for the Toffees to bring Rojo to Merseyside when Wolves, who were their closest Premier League challengers, were told by the centre-back that he had no interest in a move to Molineux.
The Telegraph stated that Rojo has made it clear that Wolves will not be his destination this summer. But alleged interest from PSG complicates matters.

After all, Les Parisiens will be playing Champions League football next season, something Everton obviously cannot offer. And they will give Rojo the chance to add more medals to his collection after four years at Manchester United in which he has lifted the FA Cup and the Europa League title.
The best Everton can realistically hope for next season is to compete for a place in the top six, and even that looks unrealistic.
So Marco Silva and co will be hoping that Financial Fair Play regulations will work in their favour. It remains to be seen whether PSG, who are willing to sell a number of their fringe players such as Goncalo Guedes, would be willing to invest £30 million in Rojo.
