Everton have expressed an interest in the AC Milan defender Davide Calabria with his future at the San Siro up in the air, as reported by Milan News.

The 22-year-old Italian international has been one of Milan’s most impressive performers this season, starting 18 Serie A matches at right-back with Gennaro Gattuso’s side well placed to end their exile from the Champions League.

But Calabria’s agent, Gianni Vitali, raised questions over his future in February when he claimed to Calciomercato that a number of Premier League sides had been in contact.

And one of those appears to be Everton. Milan News reports that The Toffees requested information about the Brescia-born defender recently with Calabria the latest right-back to be linked with a move to Goodison Park since the turn of the year.

Manchester United, who look set to bid farewell to Antonio Valencia next summer, are also reported to be interested. Calabria wouldn’t come cheap, however, given that his contract runs until 2022.

Calciomercato reported a year ago that Everton had made Calabria a target and it seems that they have renewed their interest with the transfer window looming large on the horizon.
