Tyias Browning has not played a Premier League game for Everton since 2015/16 but will he move to the Championship now with Aston Villa?

Aston Villa’s options at centre-back look set to be given a massive boost this week.
There were times during the first half of the Championship campaign where Villa could only call upon one fit central defender, but manager Dean Smith has moved to solve a problem position as soon as the January transfer window opened.
Tommy Elphick has been re-called from his loan spell at Hull City while, according to Sky Sports, Kortney Hause is set to sign on loan from Midland neighbours Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 23-year-old, who has played just one league game in Wolves colours since the start of 2017/18, could make his debut at home against Wigan Athletic on Saturday.
Interestingly, Sky Sports claim that another out-of-favour Premier League defender was on Aston Villa’s radar, too, the Everton man Tyias Browning.

The Liverpool-born 24-year-old has not featured in the top flight since 2015/16 and spent last season on loan at Sunderland, making 26 starts as the Black Cats suffered relegation for the second straight campaign.
A short-term move away from Goodison Park would serve Browning well but, as Sky Sports point out, he is unlikely to be joining Villa with Hause moving to the Midland club instead.
Although if Browning did arrive, he would join former Toffees teammate Yannick Bolasie at Villa Park.
