Stefano Sturaro has enjoyed a trophy laden three years in Serie A with Juventus but West Ham and Everton would offer more regular game time.

Another day, another top class central midfielder linked with Everton. According to Tuttosport, Juventus enforcer Stefano Sturaro is being eyed up by The Toffees as the Champions League finalists aim to trim down their squad for next season.

At the age of just 24, the Italian international boasts a medal haul that would make players ten years his senior green with envy. Since arriving from Genoa in 2014, Sturaro has won three Serie A titles, three Copa Italias and the 2015 Supercoppa Italiana.

Only the Champions League, Juventus lost in finals against Barcelona in 2015 and Real Madrid in May, has slipped through Sturaro’s grasp.

However, with Juventus aiming to reinforce their midfield this summer with both Steven N’Zonzi and Blaise Matuidi on their radar, Tuttosport claims that Sturaro could be forced out. He started just 12 Serie A games last season and another addition would push him further down the pecking order.

And the report adds that, while Juve coach Max Allegri would rather keep Sturaro in Turin, Juventus could let him go in an attempt to trim a bloated squad.

This appears to have put Everton on red alert. The Toffees have been lined with countless midfielders in recent months though it appears that Sturaro could be a cheaper alternative to Sporting Lisbon’s Adrien Silva.

O Jogo (page 12, 4th July) report that Everton are unwilling to match Tottenham’s £26 million bid for the Portuguese international, meaning they may be turning their attention towards a similar player available for far less.

Tuttosport adds that West Ham and Fiorentina are interested in Sturaro but Everton’s desire for midfield reinforcements surely means they are up for a fight.
