Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka is reportedly a January target for Premier League duo Everton and Watford, plus PSG and Napoli.
Not for the first time and probably not for the last, Stanislav Lobokta is being linked with a big-money move to the Premier League.
According to Le10 Sport, the Celta Vigo midfielder is once again a man in demand with both Everton and Watford interested, as are bonafide European giants Napoli and Paris Saint Germain.
Lobotka, who arrived at the Balaidos from Nordsjaelland in 2017, is a tough-tackling Slovakian international whose energy and combativeness appears to be make him a perfect fit for the hustle and bustle of the Premier League.
The report adds that Celta are willing to listen to offers of around £26 million, which could be seen as a bargain fee considering that his release clause stands at £45 million.
Everton could potentially see Lobotka as an upgrade on Idrissa Gana Gueye, whose lack of technical ability has often been exposed by Marco Silva’s possession-based approach.
Le10 Sport add that Watford see the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Abdoulaye Doucoure, the influential midfielder who has been heavily tipped to leave Vicarage Road for the best part of a year.
Everton and Watford must beware interest from elsewhere, however. PSG are in dire need of a defensive enforcer while Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan, although the Partenopei are unlikely to spend huge fees in the January window.
