Premier League trio Everton, Chelsea and Spurs reportedly want Spartak Moscow’s Fernando should he leave Russia this summer.
With the summer transfer window looming large, the Sun claims that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are looking at the Russian Premier League for a man capable of adding further quality in the centre of the park.
And Spartak Moscow midfielder Fernando is set to find himself at the centre of a tug-of-war this summer.
The Sun reports that Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea are all interested in a man who has shone in Russia since he joined from Sampdoria two years ago for £10 million.
Fernando was key as Spartak won the Russian Premier League title last season and a second successive domestic crown is on the cards.
But the report adds that they are resigned to the fact that the eight-time Brazil international wants to leave and test himself in a major European league, so could sell if an offer of around £22 million comes their way.
26-year-old Fernando is renowned for his precise passing from the centre of the park and his ability to win possession back from the opposition, meaning he could be the latest player identified as a potential replacement for Mousa Dembele in North London.
Fernando is also understood to be on Everton’s radar, despite the impressive form of Idrissa Gana Gueye and the resurgent Morgan Schneiderlin in recent weeks.
Chelsea are allegedly keen, too, and would replace Danny Drinkwater at Stamford Bridge should the unsettled England international leave West London after just one season.
