West Ham United appeared to be leading the chase for Porto striker Moussa Marega but do not rule out Premier League duo Everton and Southampton.

West Ham United appear to be leading the chase for Porto striker Moussa Marega as things stand.
According to the Mail last week, the Hammers have held talks with the Primeira Liga champions about a £22 million deal for their top scorer. Marega netted 23 times last season as Porto won the domestic league title for the first time in five years.
The reports adds that West Ham midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate could even go the other way to sweeten the deal.
But that does not mean a number of rival Premier League clubs have not given up hope of landing Marega just yet.
Everton are another side who have been linked with the athletic striker over the last few months. And latest reports from the Mirror claim that the Toffees still have a strong interest in Marega, who has played 13 times at international level for Mali.

This comes after Marega scored the only goal of the game in a recent pre-season clash between Porto and Marco Silva’s Everton.
The Mirror also claims that Southampton are interested, too. Marega would be a welcome addition on the South Coast considering that Mark Hughes’ side scored less than a goal a game on average last season.
West Ham are not home and dry just yet.
