Real Betis’s Fabian Ruiz is being heavily tipped to swap La Liga for the Premier League with Everton and Newcastle United in the race.

Real Betis have not missed Dani Ceballos nearly as much as they might have feared this season. Because another supremely gifted midfielder has emerged through the Andalusian’s side in the absence of the now Real Madrid midfielder; and Fabian Ruiz could prove to be even better.
The 21-year-old play-maker has burst on to the scene this season with a number of superb individual displays. He is now one of La Liga’s most promising talents, so no wonder Betis want to increase his release clause from £14 million to £35 million, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Until then, however, Quique Setien’s side will be tossing and turning at night with Premier League scouts flocking to the Benito Villamarin.

ESPN reported last week that West Ham were weighing up a move while Marca stated that London rivals Tottenham Hotspur had also been keeping tabs on Ruiz.

It is not difficult to see why both Everton and Newcastle are keen. Fabian Ruiz is a typically Spanish midfielder blessed with excellent technique, a superb passing range as well as the ability to drive forward from deep.
Everton have a whole host of central midfielders at their disposal but Ruiz is an elite talent that cannot be ignored.
For Newcastle, however, they must make their move now if they are interested. Because, if Betis raise his price-tag by £20 million, he could be out of their reach for good.
