Getafe’s Djene Dakonam is reportedly a target for Premier League trio Everton, Leicester City and Arsenal with Unai Emery apparently ‘captivated’.

Dakonam Djene of Getafe looks on during the La Liga match between Villarreal and Getafe at Estadio de la Ceramica on February 25, 2018 in Villarreal, Spain.

Everton and Leicester City are interested in bringing Djene Dakonam to the Premier League this summer, according to Marca.

The Togo international moved to Madrid from Sint Truidense in the summer of 2017 and rapidly established himself as one of the best defenders anywhere in the Spanish top flight.

Djene continues to stand out in a Getafe team who have surprisingly emerged as candidates for Champions League qualification this season. Jose Bordalas’ side have conceded just 24 goals in 28 games with the jet-heeled centre-half in their back line.

AS reported last week that Arsenal are keen to sign Djene in the summer with head coach Unai Emery watching him during last week’s goalless draw with Valencia.

The former Los Che boss is apparently ‘captivated’ by Djene’s potential.

Although the Gunners will face competition from Premier League rivals Everton and Leicester, who Marca claims are both preparing a summer bid for a player with a £30 million release clause in his contract.

France Football reported last summer that Leicester made a bid of £25 million and it remains to be seen if they are willing to offer £5 million more.
