Gregoire Defrel struggled at Roma but continues to be linked with Premier League sides. Everton, West Ham and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested.

Roma paid £20 million to sign Gregoire Defrel from Sassuolo last summer – though even the most ardent Serie A enthusiast could be forgiven for forgetting that the French striker was playing his football at the Stadio Olimpico.
Defrel started just five Serie A games and made a further two starts in the Champions League as Eusebio Di Francesco’s side reached the semi-finals. But, despite all this, there is at least three Premier League sides all interested in the big-money flop.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Everton, West Ham and Crystal Palace are all interested in handing Defrel an escape route out of the Italian capital.
Not that the versatile forward would jump at the chance to take it. It is understood that he wants to prove himself at Roma alongside Di Francesco, the manager who got the best out of him at Sassuolo.

Formerly of Cesena, the quick-footed Defrel scored 19 goals in two Serie A seasons with Sassuolo between 2015 and 2017. And his powerful, speedy style could perhaps make him a good fit for Premier League football should Roma be willing to listen to offers.
Crystal Palace were linked with an £11 million move for Defrel back in 2016, while West Ham United were also understood to be interested last summer too.
