Montpellier’s Ligue 1 right-back Aguilar could potentially move to England with Premier League duo Everton and Crystal Palace interested.

Everton and Crystal Palace are both interested in signing Montpellier defender Ruben Aguilar in the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
Montpellier have been one of the biggest surprise packages in French football this season, sitting fifth in the table with qualification for the Champions League in their sights. They also have the second best defensive record in Ligue 1 this season, conceding just 19 goals, and Aguilar has been a major part of their success.
The Frenchman has started 21 games in France’s top flight, scoring once and providing two assists while impressing with his attacking style and solid defensive displays.
As a result, Aguilar has caught the eye of Premier League duo Everton and Crystal Palace, who both appear keen to sign a new right-back in the summer.

Interestingly, these reports come after Palace’s homegrown hero Aaron Wan-Bissaka was linked with a big-money move to Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund by the Sun.
Aguilar, whose name comes from his Spanish father, has been a Montpellier player since he arrived from Auxerre in 2017 having spent much of his career in the lower leagues.
