After one season in the Premier League, Everton flop Sandro Ramirez is reportedly set to return to La Liga with Real Sociedad.

Everton were hoping to complete some very impressive business before the transfer window slammed shut.

Sandro Ramirez made just three Premier League starts and failed to score a goal during his debut season at Goodison Park. But Everton still had their hearts set on an impressive profit from a player they signed last summer for £5.2 million.

According to Marca, Everton were, perhaps ambitiously, hoping to make £9 million should they sell Sandro this summer amid interest from La Liga outfit Real Sociedad. And it seems that the former Barcelona and Malaga forward is indeed on his way back to Spain.

But, according to El Diario Vasco, this will only be on a loan deal for now.

It is understood that Everton have given Sandro the green light to make the move to a club formerly managed by David Moyes. Sociedad will sign the Toffees’ number nine on loan and it is understood that there is no purchase clause in the deal.

Sandro is set to fly out to Spain tomorrow and could be unveiled as La Real’s new centre-forward on Thursday.

The Spain U21 international scored 14 goals in 28 games for Malaga in 2016/17 and will be hoping to find that form again in San Sebastian.
