Championship giants Nottingham Forest are reportedly close to a major coup with Soudani arriving from Croatian title winners Dinamo Zagreb.
One of the most prolific strikers in European football looks set to be on his way to Nottingham Forest this summer.
And although the City Ground club do not have a great history when it comes to Algerian forwards, with Rafik Djebbour and Djamel Abdoun fresh in the mind, Soundani’s remarkable statistics mean fans are allowed to get excited.
Since moving to the Croatian league from Vitoria Guimaraes in 2013, Soudani has scored 86 goals in 197 games in all competitions and has never failed to hit double figures for Dinamo.
Soudani was the 17-goal top scorer as Dinamo won the title last season and has now been named, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Croatian league’s Player of the Year. According to Algerian publication La Buteur, he is now set to leave the Balkan nation in style.
It is reported that the 30-year-old is on his way this summer with Nottingham Forest his likely destination.
It seems that Aitor Karanka’s side are closer than ever to a deal, which could be a major coup after the Mail claimed that clubs from China were interested. And it goes without saying that they would have been able to offer him far more money.
