Gboly Ariyibi has not made a single appearance for Nottingham Forest since moving to the City Ground from Chesterfield in January 2017.
Instead, the American winger spent the entirety of last season out on loan in League One, first to MK Dons and then at Northampton Town in the second half of the campaign.
And after failing really to set the third tier alight, it seems that Ariyibi’s hopes of finally forcing his way into Nottingham Forest’s first team plans are as slim as ever. This explains why Forest would ideally like to send the 23-year-old out on loan once again this summer, according to the Nottingham Post.

Skillful and quick, the former USA U21 international remains a raw talent who simply doesn’t look ready to fight for a first-team place at the City Ground. But he should see it as a positive that they are only looking to loan him out rather than sell him, particularly after the club showed a willingness to cash in on the likes of Barrie McKay and Michael Mancienne.
The report adds that Forest are still keen to get rid of a number of other fringe players, including Zach Clough, Jamie Ward and Apostalos Vellios.
