Is the Premier League beckoning for Jack Robinson after an impressive Championship campaign with Queens Park Rangers?
Jack Robinson appears to have all but confirmed that he is leaving Queens Park Rangers this summer.
The centre-back is out of contract at the end of this season and, speaking to West London Sport, he did not exactly suggest that remaining at Loftus Road was at the top of his list of priorities.
“I think it’s getting to that point where I’ve got to start thinking that my time is up here,” said Robinson, who claims he has not yet received an official contract offer from QPR.
The former Liverpool youngster has been one of QPR’s most impressive performers this season, with Ian Holloway’s side looking likely to end the campaign in the comfort of mid-table.
The Mirror (18 March, page 67) claimed that Championship rivals Sheffield United were leading the chase to sign Robinson on a free this summer and his stand-out performances in the second half of this season should encourage Chris Wilder to maintain his interest.
The Blades boss admires players who can adapt to multiple positions and Robinson is the archetypal utility man with centre-half, left-back and defensive midfield on his repertoire.
Because the report states that Robinson believes he can secure a move to the Premier League on the back of a promising season in QPR colours.
Versatile and promising, Robinson would be a smart addition for plenty of top flight sides on a free.
