Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly want to raid the Championship to sign Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made Adama Traore their top attacking target as Nuno Espirito Santo aims to add the finishing touches to his squad, according to the Express and Star.
But that does not mean the Premier League newcomers are willing to trigger the Middlesbrough winger’s hefty release clause, which stands at £18 million.
That would make 22-year-old Traore the most expensive player in Wolves’ history, overtaking the £15.8 million they paid for Ruben Neves a year ago.
The Express and Star reported on Monday that Wolves had made a bid for the former Barcelona winger, only for it to be turned down by Boro.
It is reported that the offer was less than the £18 million fee in Traore’s contract.

And the Mirror (31 July, page 50) has shed more light on the situation now. It is reported that Wolves are not willing to pay more than £12 million as it stands, for a player who contributed to 15 goals as Middlesbrough reached the play-offs last season.
Traore, who moved to the Riverside from Aston Villa in 2016 as part of a swap deal with Albert Adomah, dislocated his shoulder last week and could be sidelined for two months.
The Mirror adds that this has not put Nuno and Wolves off, but they must raise their bid to stand a chance of landing their man.
