Alan Pardew is under big pressure, with West Bromwich Albion bottom of the Premier League and now out of the FA Cup.

Alan Pardew could have done without a week like this one at West Bromwich Albion.
It started badly for the Baggies as they lost 3-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last Monday, slipping seven points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table. And by the time they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton on Saturday, West Brom no longer had a chairman or a chief executive with John Williams and Martin Goodman sacked in midweek.

As such, tensions are high at The Hawthorns right now. And according to the Sun (19 February, page 52) furious West Brom owner Guochuan Lai has given Pardew just two games to save his job.
It was understood that Pardew was safe despite the departures of Williams and Goodman, but a difficult few days off the field has allegedly encouraged Lai to have a re-think about his manager’s future.
And the Sun states that Lai wants points on the board quickly, meaning Pardew will be under huge pressure to get results against Huddersfield next Saturday and the trip to Watford a week later.

On paper, Huddersfield and Watford are beatable opposition with the sides enduring largely difficult 2018s so far.
And, with West Brom already staring relegation in the face, they cannot afford to drop points against their relegation rivals. Pardew’s job really is on the line.
