Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing winger Ollie Watkins from Championship outfit Brentford before the window shuts.

There is just over a day remaining in the transfer window and Brentford are so tantalisingly close now to keeping hold of the coveted winger Ollie Watkins.
The former Exeter City starlet has been heavily linked with a move away from Griffin Park all summer long with The Sun stating that Crystal Palace were willing to offer £8 million and Sulley Kaikai to convince the Championship club to cash in on their prized asset – though The Standard claimed that Brentford wanted £15 million for a player they signed for just £1.8 million a year ago.
And latest reports in The Sun suggest that Crystal Palace could be set to be disappointed.
It is claimed that Brentford are determined to snub any offers for Watkins with Dean Smith’s side making it very clear that he is not for sale.

The 22-year-old scored 10 goals in his debut Championship season for The Bees and has started 2018/19 in fine fashion too, netting a stunning goal in the 5-1 opening day thrashing of newly promoted Rotherham United.
Fortunately for Crystal Palace, however, they seem likely to hang onto Wilfried Zaha now with the transfer window creaking shut in just over 24 hours’ time.
