Mason Mount is set to leave Premier League powerhouses Chelsea for a spell in the Championship with Derby County, according to reports.

Chelsea have by far the most prosperous and successful academy in English football right now and Mason Mount may just be the jewel in their crown.
The 19-year-old may not have ever made a first-team appearance for the Blues but he proved his credentials during an outstanding loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem in Holland last season. Mount scored 14 goals and set up a further 10 in 2017/18.
No wonder Frank Lampard, a Chelsea legend and prolific goal-scoring midfielder himself in his playing days, appears to be so impressed.
According to the Mirror (17 June, page 59), the new Derby County manager is closing in on a deal to sign Mount from his former club. It is expected that the teenage play-maker will move to Pride Park on a season-long loan deal.

Derby under Gary Rowett were a rather functional side who relied on the experience of Curtis Davies, Tom Huddlestone, Scott Carson and co but Mount would provide a little dash of youthful vigour and the ability to produce something out of very little.
He is an exceptional creative talent and a set-piece specialist, too. Mount has scored seven goals in 16 games for the England U19s.
The Mirror adds that Derby are also interested in signing another Chelsea youngster in left-back Jay Da Silva while Harry Wilson, the coveted Liverpool starlet (below), is also on their radar.
