West Brom winger James McClean has only made six Premier League starts this season but might be blocked from moving to Championship giants Derby County.

After years of underachievement, it appears that Derby County are the real deal this season.
With February on the horizon, Gary Rowett has led the Rams to second in the Championship table, and they are currently in pole position to secure an automatic promotion position and, thus, a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
And it appears that Derby are eyeing a couple of additions to get themselves over the line.

The Republic of Ireland international has started just six of his 20 Premier League appearances so far this season and does not appear to be a vital part of Alan Pardew’s first-team plans at The Hawthorns.
Though it is understood that Pardew will not let McLean go at the moment as he is concerned about West Brom’s failure to bring in reinforcements.

As such, Derby’s offer has been rejected. And it appears that the East Midland giants will not be welcoming McLean to Pride Park unless a West Brom side hit by Financial Fair Play regulations can bring in attacking reinforcements before the end of the transfer window.
Rowett believes that the 28-year-old former Sunderland speedster would give Derby another dimension in the final third and he might be right with The Rams lacking natural options on the wing.
