Abdisalam Ibrahim didn’t make the grade at Manchester City but a return to England could be on the cards with Aston Villa, Derby, Middlesbrough or Fulham.

Three-and-a-half years after bidding farewell to Manchester City, Abdisalam Ibrahim could be on his way back to England.
Because the Daily Star (16/01/2018 page 34) reports that there are a number of Championship clubs keen to offer the two-time Norwegian international a chance to prove himself on British shores again.
It is understood that both Derby County, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Fulham have all watched Ibrahim in action for Valerenga in recent times.

The 26-year-old impressed as his side finished eighth in the Eliteserien table during the 2017 season, with his energy and tenacity in the centre of the park surely the reason why he has so many suitors this month.
Ibrahim, who won the 2008 FA Youth Cup with City, made just one Premier League appearance for the Manchester giants during seven years at the club but would undoubtedly make a bigger impact in a second spell in English football.
Derby manager Gary Rowett has been looking for a powerful midfielder to form a fearsome partnership with Welsh international Joe Ledley in the centre of the park and Ibrahim would surely come cheaper than the likes of Josh Brownhill and Josh Vela.
Promotion rivals Aston Villa also seem keen to reinforce their midfield, with the likes of Adam Clayton linked with a move to the Birmingham-based giants in recent weeks.

And Ibrahim, who was likened to former Man City midfielder Patrick Vieira during his time in the club’s youth ranks, could fit the bill as Derby and Villa chase a return to the Premier League.
