Premier League newcomers Aston Villa could reportedly spend another £10m on Egyptian African Cup of Nations star Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Hassan.

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith travelled to Egypt over the weekend in an attempt to push forward a £10 million deal for Kasimpasa winger Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Hassan, according to the BBC.
The Midland giants have taken the transfer market by storm since they sealed their return to the Premier League in May. With a £20 million deal agreed with Bournemouth for defender Tyrone Mings, Aston Villa are set to take their summer spending to an eye-watering £70 million.
But they’re not done yet.
Trezeguet has been one of the standout performers at this summer’s African Cup of Nations, thrilling the home support with his magical runs while outshining his Egyptian team-mate Mo Salah.
With 10 goals and nine assists for Turkish outfit Kasimpasa last season, Trezeguet has clearly taken his outstanding club form onto the international stage.

And, according to the BBC, Aston Villa manager Dean Smith travelled to North Africa alongside sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch over the weekend, seemingly to scout the £10 million-rated winger first-hand and negotiate a deal.
It just so happened that Trezeguet missed a host of presentable chances as Egypt bombed out in the round of 16 to an unfancied South America side. Smith and Pitarch caught the former Anderlecht forward on a bad day.
But his performances earlier on in the tournament, when he was winning games almost single-handedly, might be enough to convince Villa to take that £10 million risk.
