Max Aarons could reportedly replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Premier League outfit Crystal Palace, but will Daniel Farke’s Norwich let him go?

Crystal Palace are set to make a £10 million bid for Norwich City’s Max Aarons as they look to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Selhurst Park, according to the Mirror (5 July, page 61).

Academy graduate Wan-Bissaka appeared to be more than happy with life in Palace colours but the opportunity to join Manchester United and return them to the top of the English game simply proved too much to turn down.

Roy Hodgson and co now have a major challenge attempting to replace one of the most exciting youngsters to emerge in British football in recent years.

They do have over £50 million in the bank, however, and The Mirror believes that they are looking to invest £10 million of that in another young full-back – Max Aarons.

At just 19, Aarons is actually younger than Wan-Bissaka and he played a key role as Norwich stormed to the Championship title last season, scoring twice and creating six more goals in 41 Championship starts.

It seems unlikely that Norwich will accept £10 million in today’s market though, with Palace expected to make the bid within the next 24 hours.

Though he might still be a little cheaper than Palace’s other right-back target, the £20 million-rated Belgium international Timothy Castagne who helped Atalanta qualify for the Champions League (the Guardian).
