Nathan Ferguson is a key player for Slaven Bilic’s Baggies but will he leave the Championship for the Premier League if Roy Hodgson’s Palace come calling?

Crystal Palace are looking to add depth at full-back with West Bromwich Albion youngster Nathan Ferguson, according to the Sun (22 September, page 61).
At the age of 18, Ferguson is already establishing himself as one of the key players of Slaven Bilic’s promotion-chasing squad.
The teenager has started seven of West Brom’s eight Championship games this season and, to make his sudden rise even more impressive, the academy graduate has split his time between playing at right-back and left-back.
And with Palace lacking quality in both positions, particularly on the right after the departure of £50 million Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United, the Sun claims that Dougie Freedman has scouted Ferguson twice on behalf of the Premier League outfit.

Ferguson is not the only fresh-faced full-back who has caught Crystal Palace’s eye but, after Chelsea rejected a £25 million summer bid for Reece James, it seems that the Eagles now have their eyes firmly fixed on Ferguson.
But with West Brom dreaming of a return to the Premier League, it feels unlikely that Bilic would be wiling to part with one of his key players midway through the season.
