Michy Batshuayi could fire Crystal Palace up the Premier League table if Roy Hodgson gets his man in January.

Crystal Palace are interested in bringing Michy Batshuayi back to Selhurst Park in January, according to the Mail, one year after they signed the striker on loan from Chelsea.
The Eagles have made a soaring start to the 2019/20 Premier League season, winning half of their eight games to sit sixth heading into the October international break. But a lack of a natural goalscorer, despite the best efforts of Jordan Ayew, continues to be a worry with Roy Hodgson’s side finding the net just once on average per 90 minutes.
And The Mail reports that Batshuayi is now a ‘leading’ target heading into the January transfer window, after netting six times in 11 starts during an impressive loan spell at the club in 2018/19.

The former Marseille frontman, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Marseille three years ago in a staggering £33 million deal, came off the bench to net Chelsea’s fourth in their thrashing of Southampton on Sunday but he is still well behind Tammy Abraham in Frank Lampard’s pecking order and that seems unlikely to change any time soon.
A move to Palace, temporary or permanent, feels like a good solution for everyone involved.
