Former Sevilla starlet Juan Munoz could reportedly be on his way to the Premier League with Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace are sending scouts to watch Alcorcon striker Juan Munoz, according to the Mirror (2 April, page 56).

Roy Hodgson clearly needs a new centre-forward this summer given that goals have been hard to come by during another difficult Premier League campaign for the Eagles.

Christian Benteke has scored just once in the top flight in the last 12 months, Alexander Sorloth has failed to make the grade while Michy Batshuayi is unlikely to stay when his loan spell from Chelsea comes to an end (Goal).

But is Munoz the man to solve Crystal Palace’s biggest problem?

The former Sevilla striker joined second-tier Alcorcon on a free transfer last summer and he’s been an inspired signing, scoring 14 goals in 34 games so far.

And, according to the Mirror, Crystal Palace are sending scouts to run the rule over Munoz, fully aware that he is available for a bargain £2 million fee given that his two-year contract only has 12 months left to run.

Munoz, who can play anywhere across the front line, once played Champions League football with Sevilla.

He also made his professional debut under current Arsenal coach Unai Emery at Sevilla, who promoted him to the first-team in 2015 after letting Ciro Immobile leave.
