Championship duo Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers reportedly want to sign Connor Wickham on loan from Crystal Palace.

The 2017/18 season was a write-off for Crystal Palace’s £7million striker Connor Wickham.
The 25-year-old did not make a single Premier League appearance last season as he aimed to recover from a horrible cruciate ligament injury. In fact, he has not played a top flight game since November 2016, with only four starts to his name in 2016/17.
It is fair to say, then, that Wickham needs the game time.
The former Sunderland striker, who moved to Selhurst Park in 2015, is now behind Christian Benteke, Aleksander Sorloth and Jordan Ayew in the pecking order at Palace, but it seems that he could be offered a route out before the end of the month.
The Sun (12 August, page 59) reports that Championship duo Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Wickham on loan. And it seems that Crystal Palace would be open to the idea of letting the one-time Ipswich Town prodigy get his career back on track elsewhere.

The former England U21 international has had loan spells in the Championship before with Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United, although he failed to score in five games for the latter.
And he could be a fine addition to Stoke or Blackburn, two sides who will be dreaming of a return to the Premier League as soon as possible.
