Claudio Yacob has not made a Championship appearance for Martin O’Neill’s Nottingham Forest since early February with a Greek switch allegedly on the cards.

Olympiakos are interested in signing Claudio Yacob from Nottingham Forest this summer, according to Greek publication Sportime.
Yacob joined Forest on a free in September after being released by West Bromwich Albion at the end of last season and initially made a positive impression under Aitor Karanka, adding energy and experience in central midfield.
But the Argentine has found game time harder to come by since Karanka was replaced by Martin O’Neill at the City Ground. He has not featured in almost two months, with the former Republic of Ireland boss promoting youngster Ryan Yates in his place.
And Sportime believes that Yacob’s future at Nottingham Forest is in doubt after just six months at the club.

Olympiakos, who are owned by Forest chief Evangelos Marinakis, are keen to sign Yacob in a move that would see the 31-year-old reunite with former City Ground loanee Gil Dias.
It is claimed that Yacob could be a replacement for Bibras Natkho, the gifted play-maker and 54-time Israel international who has struggled to make an impression in Greece since his move from CSKA Moscow in 2018.
