Chema Rodriguez is reportedly on the verge of signing for Championship outfit Nottingham Forest with his future lying away from Levante.

Nottingham Forest are set to complete the signing of Chema Rodriguez from La Liga outfit Levante on transfer deadline day, according to Marca.
Forest have been very busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing in a right-back, a left-back, a striker, a couple of midfielders and two goalkeepers. One position Sabri Lamouchi is yet to strengthen, however, is at the heart of his defence.
But that could still change before Thursday’s 5:00pm cut-off point.
Cadena Ser claimed on Wednesday that Nottingham Forest made a bid to sign 27-year-old Chema and, 24 hours later, it seems that the deal is progressing at a rate of knots.
The Spaniard was nowhere to be seen as Levante took on Eibar in a pre-season friendly yesterday. He is in the process of negotiating a move away from the Cuitat de Valencia after losing his place in the starting XI in recent months. The City Ground will be his destination.

Completing just 73 per cent of his passes last season, Chema isn’t an obvious fit for a Forest side who are expected to play a far more expansive, technical style of football this season under Lamouchi.
But with Michael Hefele out of favour and Michael Dawson 36 years of age these days, Chema could provide some added competition over a long, 46-game slog.
