Freddie Woodman still hasn’t made his Premier League debut for Newcastle United.

Freddie Woodman is increasingly determined to leave Newcastle United on loan before the new season kicks off with the Chronicle reporting Championship clubs are interested in the young goalkeeper.
Woodman has been tipped to be Newcastle’s future number one ever since he starred in England’s U20 World Cup winning campaign in 2017, saving a penalty in the final against Venezuela.
But, with Martin Dubravka and Karl Darlow still ahead of him in the pecking order, the Croydon-born 22-year-old is no closer to forcing his way into the starting XI on Tyneside.
And this has made Woodman rather restless. The Chronicle reports that a player who is still yet to make his Premier League debut is keen to force a move away from St James’ Park, albeit on a temporary basis, in order to get some first-team football under his belt.
Woodman apparently wants a new club before the weekend, when the new season kicks off for clubs in Scotland and the Football League.

Two Championship clubs have expressed an interest, although the report does not make it clear which teams are keen to offer one of Britain’s most exciting young shot-stoppers a chance.
