Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyonnais are reportedly one step closer to signing striker Moussa Dembele from Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.

Moussa Dembele has been linked with Marseille, Schalke and Borussia Dortmund this week but, with just over a day to go until the end of the transfer window, it appears that Lyon are set to win the race.
The Celtic striker has become one of the most in-demand young strikers in Europe after two fine years in Scotland. Since moving from Fulham in 2016, Dembele has scored 48 goals in all competitions and won two domestic trebles.
According to L’Equipe, the France U21 international is now keen to continue his development in his homeland.
It is reported that Lyon agreed terms with Dembele on Wednesday, although they are yet to do the same with Celtic. L’Equipe claims that the Scottish Premiership champions have rebuffed both Lyon’s offers so far and want to sign a replacement before they will let the 21-year-old go.

And Celtic are facing a race against time to bring in a new striker before Friday’s deadline.
If Dembele moves to Lyon, he will be tasked with replacing Mariano Diaz, who returned to former club Real Madrid after one, 18-goal season in Ligue 1.
