Could Ukrainian international Shved be the latest new addition to Celtic’s Scottish Premiership chasing squad in the January transfer window?

Celtic fans should get used to hearing the name Maryan Shved. Because it seems that the Ukrainian international could be the latest new recruit of a busy transfer window.
The Hoops have already snapped up Oliver Burke, Timothy Weah and Vakoun Issouf Bayo with American left-back Andrew Gutman expected to arrive in the near future too.
And, according to the Scottish Sun, Celtic have now been offered the chance to bring Shved to Parkhead from Karpaty Lviv.
A 21-year-old right winger, it seems that Shved is set to leave Lviv this month with Dinamo Kiev also keen. But if Celtic are willing to pay £2 million, they could win the race for a player who appears to have a big future.
Shved, who had a brief spell in Sevilla’s B team, was named Karparty’s Player of the Year for 2018 and has already scored eight goals in 18 games this season.
That means he has already beaten his tally from the 2017/18 campaign. And, given that Shved is capable of playing at centre forward or as a second striker, he would give Brendan Rodgers plenty of options in attack.
