Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are set to face Spartak Moscow in the Europa League – is there a chance Brendan Rodgers could be in the dugout?

Spartak Moscow are in crisis just two days before their crucial Europa League clash against Rangers.
The Russian giants have sacked manager Massimo Carrera, the man who led them to the league title in 2017, with Spartak currently seven points adrift of Zenit St Petersburg already this season.
And, to make matters even more interesting for Rangers fans, Celtic have now been dragged into the story.
Because, according to The Siver Times, Spartak have drawn up a three-man shortlist of potential replacements for Carrera. And, next to the former Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim and the Russian national team manager Stanislav Cherchesov sits none other than Brendan Rodgers.

This is not the first time Rodgers has been linked with a move away from Parkhead in recent weeks. The Northern Irishman was mentioned in conjunction with roles at Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Leicester City after a slow start to the Scottish Premiership season and an alleged division with chief executive Peter Lawwell.
Rodgers, however, has confirmed that he remains content with life at Celtic and the Scottish Sun reported this month that anyone keen to buy out his contract would have to pay £2.5 million in compensation.
So Spartak might be wasting their time.
