Highly-rated Belconnen United midfielder Leo Mazis spent two weeks on trial with Celtic.

With Brendan Rodgers in the hotseat, the talented youngsters in Celtic’s squad will know that if they are good enough, they are old enough.
Since the beginning of last season Anthony Ralston, Calvin Miller and Michael Johnstone are just some of the highly-rated academy starlets to be given an opportunity in the Hoops’ first-team.
Meanwhile, exciting prospects like Kundai Benyu, Kouassi Eboue and Odsonne Edouard made moves to Parkhead in the hope that Celtic could prove a launchpad for their promising careers.

The Australian youngster, who played for Canberra-based semi-professional side Belconnen United, is one of the most highly-rated prospects Down Under and his talents have already been noticed outside of his homeland.
It is unknown whether or not Mazis made a positive impression on Rodgers but, if he did, the teenager could be offered a contract and the chance to follow Ralston and co into the first-team.

The report adds that Mazis was joined in Glasgow by 18-year-old Canberra United defender Nick Faust, who told the Daily Record that he hopes to follow in the footsteps of Australia international Tom Rogic at Parkhead.
And if the highly-rated duo are to brave leaving the comfort of their homeland at such a young age, there is hardly a better club to welcome them into the professional game than a Celtic side managed by Brendan Rodgers.
