Clinton N’Jie failed in the Premier League but could he move to the Scottish Premiership with Celtic in exchange for Moussa Dembele?

Clinton N’Jie’s last spell in British football did not exactly go to plan.
After sealing an £8 million move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2015 (Mail), the former Lyon winger managed to make just eight substitute appearances in the Premier League before swiftly returning to France with Marseille.
But it seems that there is a chance N’Jie could get another opportunity across The Channel, albeit north of the border at Celtic.
According to France Football, Marseille are stepping up their efforts to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele before Friday’s transfer deadline and made contact with the reigning Scottish Premiership champions on Tuesday.
It is understood that Celtic value Dembele at around £18 million. And, in order to reduce the fee, Marseille are willing to offer a player in return – with N’Jie one of the options.

It is understood that the Ligue 1 side would also offer Valere Germain, the £9 million centre-forward who scored 18 goals last season. But Le10 Sport claims that Germain has no interest in joining Celtic.
Which makes N’Jie the more likely candidate in a player-plus-cash deal. The speedy winger started just nine Ligue 1 games in 2017/18 but scored an impressive seven goals.
Although it remains to be seen whether Celtic would be willing to trade the 25-year-old Cameroon international for Dembele.
