Kollner struggled in the Bundesliga with Nurnburg but he is still being linked with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic and South Wales outfit Swansea.
Celtic have held talks with the former Nurnburg coach Michael Kollner while Swansea City also have an interest in the German tactician, according to Wales Online.
Celtic have been linked with a host of big-names since Brendan Rodgers walked away to take over at Leicester City in February with Jose Mourinho, Claudio Ranieri and Laurent Blanc among those mentioned so far.
Kollner, in contrast, is hardly well known on British shores but he is highly thought of in his homeland. The 49-year-old guided Nurnburg to the Bundesliga last year although he was sacked in February with the Bavarian outfit mired in the relegation zone.
And, according to Wales Online, Kollner has held talks with Celtic about potentially taking over at the Scottish Premiership giants.
Celtic though would rather put their trust in a manager with more top level experience. Prior to taking over at Nurnburg in 2017, Kollner spent just one season at Greuther Furth.
Though his rather limited CV does not appear to have put off Swansea City, who lost Graham Potter to Brighton this week.
The South Wales side have already made contact with Kollner and apparently believe his record of getting the best out of young players will suit a side containing homegrown talents like Joe Rodon, Oli McBurnie and, as it stands, Daniel James.
