Celtic’s Scottish Premiership defender Jack Hendry could be on his way to League One title-chasers Sunderland.

One year ago, Celtic were fighting tooth and nail to bring Jack Hendry to Parkhead from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee.
But, 12 months on, hindsight does not reflect well on the Hoops’ £1.5 million purchase. Hendry struggled almost every time he featured for Celtic in his first few months in green and white and he has now fallen down the pecking order, featuring in just three league games in 2018/19.
According to the Mail, a loan move away from Celtic is on the cards with League One trio Sunderland, Portsmouth and Bradford all understood to be interested.
But, if you believe reports from the North East, Sunderland appear to be leading the chase as things stand. The Northern Echo is claiming that Black Cats boss Jack Ross has a close relationship with his Celtic counterpart Brendan Rodgers.

Ross and Rodgers are reported to have held talks about a potential move for Hendry this week, so Bradford and Portsmouth will have to react, and quickly, if they are to avoid missing out to the North East team.
Sunderland are second in the League One table as things stand, seven points adrift of Pompey albeit with two games in hand.
