Huddersfield Town and Fulham were reportedly keen on Real Betis’ Victor Camarasa and he is heading to the Premier League – with Cardiff City

Amid all the high-profile, big-money deals being completed by Wolves and Fulham, it is easy to forget about the other side who were promoted from the Championship last season – Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds have spent around £30 million on new talent but that is practically pennies in today’s money-mad market. All four of Cardiff’s new additions, Josh Murphy, Bobby Reid, Greg Cunningham and Alex Smithies, were playing Championship football in 2017/18.
But The Mail reports that Neil Warnock’s underdogs are set to dip their toes into the foreign market for the first time.
The report (live blog, 3.12pm) claims that Cardiff are set to sign the Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa, who is expected to arrive in Britain tonight to finalise a season-long loan move.

The 24-year-old Spaniard struggled for form at Betis last season, starting just 14 of his 24 La Liga games, but he had proven himself as a dynamic and attack-minded midfielder during spells at Levante and Alaves.
The Mail adds that Huddersfield Town and Fulham were interested in signing Camarasa but it seems that Cardiff have won the race – which makes the deal rather more exciting.
The former Spain U21 international should add some depth and a goal threat to a midfield of hard-workers.
