Cardiff City had reportedly agreed a deal to bring Adrien Tameze to the Premier League from Ligue 1.

Cardiff City have shown plenty of ambition in the first week of the transfer market but bringing new players to South Wales has proven to be easier said than done.
Neil Warnock has already been left frustrated by the failure to sign Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne and Nantes’ 12-goal striker Emiliano Sala. Now, it seems that Adrien Tameze has now slipped through their grasp, too.
Cardiff have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old Nice midfielder in recent times with Warnock hinting that the Bluebirds were close to agreeing personal terms, as reported by The Mirror (7 January, page 45).
But, in a bitter blow, The Mail is now reporting that Tameze won’t be a Cardiff player after all.

It is understood that the Premier League newcomers had agreed a £10 million deal but Nice’s general manager Julien Fournier has now confirmed that Cardiff have pulled out of the deal with negotiations breaking down.
This is understood to be a big disappointment with Cardiff understandably excited about the prospect of bringing Tameze, who has replaced Jean Michel Seri at Nice, to South Wales.
