Premier League Burnley are rivalling La Liga outfit Sevilla to sign Nantes’ Ligue 1 midfielder Abdoulaye Toure, according to reports.

Burnley might not have added a single new player to their first-team squad this summer but it appears that Sean Dyche will be busy in the final few weeks of the transfer window.
And L’Equipe is reporting on Monday that the Clarets are planning a bid to sign Nantes’ reigning Player of the Season Abdoulaye Toure. It is understood that Burnley have already initiated talks and would be willing to offer as much as £10.5 million.
This would make Toure the third most expensive player in their history, behind Robbie Brady and the £15 million record signing Chris Wood.
24-year-old Toure has spent his entire professional career at Nantes and was a revelation last season, featuring in all but two Ligue 1 games under the now departed Claudio Ranieri.

A central midfielder renowned for his tough tackling and ability to start attacks from deep, Toure averaged 2.1 tackles per game in France as Nantes finished in the top half of the table.
L’Equipe adds that Burnley have already offered Toure a five-year contract but interest from La Liga outfit Sevilla could be a concern.
It is understood that Pablo Machin’s side have identified the former France U20 ace as a replacement for Steven N’Zonzi, the £35 million World Cup winner who is heavily linked with a return to the Premier League this summer.
