Werder Bremen’s Thomas Delaney could swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League with Brighton and Spurs interested.

Thomas Delaney has been key to Werder Bremen’s remarkable resurgence in the Bundesliga over the last few months, helping the northern giants turn from relegation candidates into a team challenging for a place in the top half. But the Danish international’s days in Germany could be numbered.

Brighton are on the verge of securing their Premier League survival, and the report says that manager Chris Hughton believes Delaney is the sort of player who can help them to push on next season.
The 26-year-old former Copenhagen midfielder is a real box-to-box player, not unlike current Brighton star Davy Propper who boasts a rather underrated eye for goal. Delaney has struck just twice in the Bundesliga in 2017/18, but is capable of far more – as his hat-trick for Denmark against Armenia last September attests.

But Brighton have a lot to do to lure Delaney to The Amex.
Because the Mail points out that Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have also been following his progress in recent months – despite the fact Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino isn’t short of options in the centre of the park.
First-team football would be easier to come by at Brighton, but Tottenham could offer Delaney a Champions League stage – and the possibility of fighting for the title in 2018/19.
